ARD Music Competition
ARD Music Competition Category harp
French harpist Emmanuel Ceysson succeeded in convincing the exacting jury: he won a first prize and made it quite clear that the harp category is not an exclusive female domain. A second prize went to Ruriko Yamamiya from Japan. Belgian harpist Anneleen Lenaerts received both the third prize and the audience prize.
ARD Music Competition Category violin
The finals in the category violin were the last decisions on this year's competition program. A first prize went to the only 17-year old Korean musician Hyeyoon Park (center). Kei Shirai from Japan received a second prize as well as the audience prize, and Lily Francis from the United States got a third prize.
